Conditions of Entry and Security Requirements for the Royal Australian Mint Public Area
By entering onto these premises, you acknowledge and agree to:
- Conduct yourself responsibly and treat others with respect and courtesy, and without harassment. The Royal Australian Mint (Mint) will not tolerate any abuse directed towards Mint officials (which includes employees, contractors and contracted security officials) or other visitors, and will not tolerate discriminatory, offensive or any other forms of unacceptable behaviour.
- Wear footwear at all times to protect you and others from injury.
- Comply with these conditions on behalf of any child or other person who accompanies you and for whom you are the parent, guardian or otherwise responsible.
- Enter these premises at your own risk. To the full extent permitted by law, the Mint will not be liable for any:
a. harm, injury or illness to you or any other person; or
b. theft of, damage to, or loss of, your personal property or that of any other person, while on these premises. If you cause harm to any person, or damage Mint property, you may be prosecuted and held liable for the harm or damage. - Comply with any security or safety instructions issued by an authorised Mint official, while on these premises, and must leave immediately if an authorised Mint official asks you to do so. Failure to comply may constitute an offence.
- Comply with any other reasonable request, including signage, issued by the Mint in relation to your entry to these premises.
- Only take photographs or make videos or films on these premises if:
a. it is for personal use only;
b. you do not use any form of professional equipment, without prior permission of authorised Mint officials;
c. there’s no sign prohibiting photography, videoing and filming or other indication that it is restricted;
d. it does not interfere with or cause concern for other including visitors; and
e. it does not deliberately include any other person in that photography, videoing or filming without that person’s consent. - The requirement that you do not:
a. take any Commonwealth resources from any Mint premises, excluding purchased goods, unless
prior permission has been obtained by an authorised Mint official;
b. smoke, vape, or use an electronic cigarette while on these premises;
c. bring or consume your own alcohol, or consume, carry or enter under the influence of illicit substances;
d. bring animals onto these premises, except for trained Guide Dogs and other registered assistance animals; and
e. bring anything onto these premises that the Mint reasonably considers could be dangerous or be used to damage Mint resources, without prior written approval from an authorised Mintofficial. - The Mint’s right to:
a. ask you to provide identification that is acceptable to the Mint;
b. conduct security screening, which may include requiring you to walk through a metal scanning device and requiring any items in your possession to be passed through an x-ray scanning device, when you access or leave these premises;
c. inspect any bag, parcel or other item that you bring onto, or seek to bring onto or remove from, these premises. You must make these available for inspection upon request by an authorised Mint official;
d. hold property if there is a reasonable suspicion about the ownership of that property;
e. refuse entry to these premises, or require you to leave the Mint, at any time and for any reason, including if you do not comply with any of these conditions or if an authorised Mint official considers that there may be a risk to the Mint, you, or any other person or property;
f. use closed circuit television (CCTV) throughout the Mint premises. Entry onto these premises will be taken as consent to the collection of personal information in CCTV footage, and its use and disclosure for operational, security, safety and other relevant purposes. Do not enter these premises if you do not wish your image and actions to be recorded; and
g. change these Conditions of Entry and Security Requirements without notice
