The Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) is celebrating the milestone anniversaries of six AC/DC albums with six unique coin tributes, a seven coin set and a limited edition silver frosted uncirculated coin.

Ross MacDiarmid, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint), today announced that after ten years at the helm he will be leaving the Mint on 4 December 2020.

To mark the second sign of the Chinese lunar zodiac, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) has released a Year of the Ox coin collection featuring highly sought after collectable coins.   

Royal Australian Mint CEO – Mr. Ross MacDiarmid said “These coins have been intricately designed to capture the relevance of the Lunar New Year and serve as a beautiful tribute in 2021.”

In 2019, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) released its first ever Christmas decoration coin with great success. In 2020 the Mint is excited to ring-in the festive season with a second beautiful Christmas decoration coin, inspired by Australia’s official floral emblem – golden wattle.

The Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) has launched the second limited edition commemorative coin in the Star Dreaming series which illustrates important Indigenous Australian Astrological stories.

The Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) has launched new limited edition commemorative coin set and three 50c coins commemorating Treasured Australian Poetry from Banjo Paterson.

Today, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) launched Australia’s Coin Sport Challenge — a fun and family-friendly challenge for all the Australians that continue to be stuck at home or who are missing sport in these COVID-19 times.
