Gallop into the Lunar Year of the Horse with these coins

2026 Lunar Horse UNC Linelisting Noticeboard

In 2026, we celebrate the Year of the Horse. The Horse is said to be passionate, energetic and independent – characteristics it shares with those born under this sign. This coin depicts the free-spirited horse amongst gingko leaves – representing hope, strength and resilience.

According to legend, twelve animals participated in a race across a river to allow the Jade Emperor to establish the order of the signs of the Chinese horoscope. The galloping horse looked like it would take sixth place, right after the dragon, but it was startled by the snake suddenly appearing at its hooves and ultimately finished in seventh place.

In Chinese element theory, each sign has a corresponding element depending on the year. Specifically, 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse and people born in this year are said to be passionate, energetic and independent. These coins are likely to appeal to precious metal and premium collectors in the domestic and international markets.

May these coins bring good fortune for 2026.
