Hooray – new Bluey coins are back! To celebrate a classic Aussie tradition, the Royal Australian Mint presents a fun and colourful new coin design based on the beloved Cricket episode of Bluey.
Cricket has become a series favourite. During a friendly game of neighbourhood cricket, none of the dads can bowl out Rusty, who is amazing at batting. Rusty's weak spot used to be fast bowling but his dad helped him overcome his fears. Even though he can easily hit the fastball out of the park, the young prodigy encourages his little sister by giving her an easy catch, showing true sportsmanship.
Design
The coins feature Rusty and Bluey from the Cricket episode, with Rusty batting a ball whilst Bluey cheers on from the field. Even though Bluey is on the opposing team as a fielder, she cheers with excitement for Rusty’s great hit.
The silver proof coin comes in a delightful tin shaped like a cricket ball.
