With just over 200 days to go until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) has announced its support of the Australian Olympic Committee’s Olympic Change-Makers, students who are being recognised for demonstrating the Olympic spirit through leadership and driving positive change in their communities.

Iconic Australian cultural heritage institution and the sole producer of the nation’s circulating coins, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint), was recognised for its excellence in tourism operations and visitor experience at the Canberra Region Tourism Awards on Friday night.

To mark the Centenary of Queensland and North Territory Aerial Services Ltd (Qantas), the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) and the national carrier have today revealed a new $1 Australian circulating coin, a collectible Qantas Centenary 11 Coin Set, along with a ‘Golden Ticket’ competition.

To mark the first sign of the Chinese lunar zodiac, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) has released a Year of the Rat coin collection and launched a competition to win a limited edition gold proof domed coin. 

The gold, silver and bronze medals to be presented at over 200 medal ceremonies at the INAS Global Games Brisbane 2019 (GG2019) were revealed at the Royal Australian Mint today.

The medals were designed by Royal Australian Mint Coin Designer, Bronwyn King who was briefed on the origin of the Games and its increasing popularity for elite athletes with an intellectual impairment.

The Royal Australian Mint is showing support for the Wallabies’ bid to become World Champions, with the release of a $2 limited edition coin available in Woolworths supermarket registers from today. 

The $2 Wallabies coin captures the strength and dedication of the team as they embark on their campaign in Japan this month.

The 30th anniversary of National Police Remembrance Day to honour Australia’s police forces is marked with a coloured $2 commemorative coin by the Royal Australian Mint, following the release of a circulating coin of the same design. 

The Royal Australian Mint (the Mint’s) first ever coin featuring a secret code releases today to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO).  Today also marks the launch of the Mint’s exciting new competition – Coincryption – a competition that celebrates the secret and elusive world of spies and espionage.
