Join a free tour

Public tour times:

The Mint conducts free public tours seven days a week, which run for approximately 30 minutes.

Monday -Friday: 10 am and 2 pm

Weekends and Public Holidays: 11 am, 1 pm and 2 pm

On the tour you will hear some interesting stories about the history of coins in Australia and look out over the factory while you learn how coins are made.

Bookings for these tours are not required. Please meet the guide on the first floor outside the public theatrette.

From Friday 8 December until  Wednesday 31 January, public tours will be offered at the following times


Monday-Friday: 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm

Weekends and Public Holidays: 11am, 1pm and 2pm


With the following exceptions


Wednesday 13 December: 2pm only

Friday 15 December: 10am and 2pm only

Monday 25 December: Mint closed

Sunday 31 December: 11am and 1pm only
