A record number of ballots were received at the Royal Australian Mint for the 2010 $25 Gold Proof Kangaroo at Sunset Coin.
The ballot draw took place at 4.00 pm on Monday 16 November 2009 here at the Royal Australian Mint by the acting Chief Executive Office Mr Graham Smith and carefully scrutinised by an independent security guard. Those customers successful in today's ballot will be notified by Mint staff by the 23 November 2009, all unsuccessful ballots will be securely destroyed once the drawn ballots have had their customer numbers confirmed. In the event of coins becoming available, additional ballots will be drawn.
