Temporary Employment Register

The Royal Australian Mint offers various temporary employment opportunities for people looking for short-term or project based work.  We may have temporary positions available for full-time, part-time and casual staff depending on business requirements and are often required to be filled at short notice.

Applications will expire every April and October following which you will need to reapply to remain on the register.

The Mint offers opportunities in the following areas/functions:

  • Administration
  • Project work
  • Policy development
  • Data Entry
  • Retail
  • Call Centre
  • Visitor/Gallery Services (including Visitor Experience Hosts)
  • Packing/Logistics
  • Facilities Management
  • Dispatch

If successful, you will be engaged as a non-ongoing employee for a period of less than 18 months or for duties which are irregular or intermittent (casual).  Casual positions are usually in the retail and packing areas of the Mint.  Placement on the temporary employment register does not guarantee an offer of employment.

To be eligible to work in the Mint, you must

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Be suitable for medical and security clearances
  • Have met redundancy benefits expiry period conditions

The Temporary Employment Register Application Form can be found below. The Temporary Employment Register will be refreshed each April and October and you will need to reapply.  Suitability of candidates will be assessed based on the information provided.
