To help you on your savings journey, you will make your own savings jar and a coin collection jar to keep all your money safe and in the one place.

Returning Worn or Mutilated Coins damaged in recent bushfires

Claims for collectible coins or coin collections need to be directed to your home and contents insurer.

For circulating coins, we (the Mint) do understand the current situation and can offer the following advice.

The Mint has processes that are ordinarily used for the return of worn or mutilated circulating coins, these can be found on the Mint’s website https://www.ramint.gov.au/worn-and-mutilated-coins

January Mini Minties

It's the Year of the Rat! Join our Mini Minties team as we celebrate Chinese New Year with some craft and delicious treats!

The session will be followed by a complimentary coffee for parents and guardians.

When: Friday, 17 January
Time: 10.30am to 11.15am.
Cost: $10 (plus booking fee). Ticket includes one adult and one child.
Where: Education Room, Royal Australian Mint.

The Mint undertook an evaluation of the conditions inside the building today at 5pm and has determined these conditions to be appropriate for staff and visitors. 

Therefore a decision has been made to re open the Mint to staff and visitors tomorrow Tuesday 7 January 2020.
