 New South Wales Three Coin Set  PROOF + UNCIRCULATED The NSW Three Coin Sets feature a 20c school student design and 50c Coat of Arms coins especially dedicated to NSW, plus a $1 Centenary of Federation logo coin which is coloured in the proof set. Joseph Neve from Bellingen High School in northern NSW has represented on the 20c coin a silhouette of NSW behind a skilfully portrayed image of the Waratah, the NSW floral emblem. Proclaimed as the official emblem in 1962, this marvellous flower is now protected by the State. The NSW Coat of Arms appears on the 50c piece showing a lion and kangaroo supporting the shield. Agriculture is depicted in the form of a golden fleece and sheaves of wheat, while the red cross of St. George carries four gold eight-pointed stars (representing the Southern Cross) and the golden lion of England. The rising sun above represents the newly risen country, its meaning reflected in the Latin motto below, translated: ‘Newly risen how brightly you shine.’ Appropriately designed packaging using the State's traditional colour, blue, the proof set features individually struck coins of the highest minting standard. Produced to demand, every proof set includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. A concertina-style pack holds the uncirculated coins, creating a unique memento of an important year.
