 Western Australia Three Coin Set  PROOF + UNCIRCULATED Specially produced for Western Australia, these beautifully packaged Three Coin Sets are presented in rich black and gold, the State colours of Western Australia. The sets contain the $1 Centenary of Federation logo, a student-designed 20c coin and a 50c piece that faithfully depicts the Coat of Arms of Western Australia. The Coat of Arms of Western Australia, granted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1969, features the Black Swan, the symbol of Western Australia since the 1830's and officially adopted as one of the State's faunal emblems in 1973. The Black Swan is depicted on a blue base representing water in a silver shield, which is supported by two Red Kangaroos each holding a boomerang. The Crest above the shield is the Royal Crown on a gold and black wreath between the two Red and Green Kangaroo Paw flowers, the State's floral emblem. In her beautifully expressive 20c coin design, Janice Ng from Forrestfield Senior High School in Western Australia, shows the outline of Western Australia overlaid with a depiction of t the Rabbit Eared Bandicoot or Bilby as it is so often called together with a sprig of the Red and Green Kangaroo Paw. The words 'Centenary of Federation' occupy the lower right-hand side of the coin, while in the upper left-hand side, the denomination overlays part of the State outline. As highest quality collector coins, proof coins are distinguished by a mirror-like background, frosted design and presentation in capsules. Uncirculated coins are higher quality circulation coins, presented in a specially-developed packaging ideal for displaying the uncirculated coins. Every proof set is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
