warranty | and returned goods policy
To the extent of any inconsistency, this Warranty is to be read subject to any warranties or conditions that may be applicable under the general law to the purchase of the commemorative coin product.
The Royal Australian Mint ('the Mint') warrants that:
(a) the commemorative coin purchased will retain its original condition and appearance for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase; and
(b) the packaging in which the commemorative coin is sold will retain its original condition and appearance for 30 days from the date of purchase,
provided that:
(c) any change to the condition or appearance of the commemorative coin or packaging is not caused directly or indirectly by any misuse, accidental damage or any other action following purchase of the commemorative coin product; and
(d) it can be reasonably ascertained that any change to the condition or appearance of the commemorative coin product is caused solely by deficient or defective workmanship or materials.
In order for the Mint to assess whether a purchaser has made a valid claim under this Warranty, the purchaser must provide the Mint with reasonable proof of purchase (including the date of purchase) of the commemorative coin product from the Mint.
Where the Mint subsequently determines that a purchaser has made a valid claim under this Warranty, the Mint will, at its option, replace or repair, or refund the purchase price of, the commemorative coin product.
