We are seeking an Electrician looking for a challenge in a modern, technologically advanced manufacturing environment.

Working as part of a team your role will include:

  • Fault find and maintain complex high speed electrical processing equipment.
  • Undertake electrical wiring, maintenance and repairs to electrical switch gear together with electronically controlled equipment and machinery as per Australian Standards.
  • The ability to understand, use, load programs and fault find using Industrial PLC's.
  • Diagnose faults and maintain general electrical systems.

This role is the perfect opportunity for a proactive, motivated and enthusiastic electrician to make a valuable contribution towards the Royal Australian Mint's business objectives. The successful applicant must hold an Electrical Trade Certificate, Electricians Licence Grade A, or be progressing towards or experience in industrial electronics.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and be prepared to undergo and maintain a security clearance to the appropriate level.

This is a full time, ongoing position working 37.5 hours per week with conditions of service set by the Royal Australian Mint Union Collective Agreement 2008/2010.

Under limited guidance your role will include:

  • Participating in the work programs of the Product Development section and satisfy external customer needs for minted products such as tokens, medallions and other coin-like products.
  • Preparing costings, quotes and business correspondence for corporate clients.
  • Preparing sales revenue reports and production status reports for the monitoring of custom minting performance and workload.

  • Configuring, administering and supporting the hardware and software making up the Materials Execution System (MES) and the Mint's computer-enabled manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Performing domain administration tasks and maintaining Windows 200x servers running a range of products including Rockwell Factory Talk, Microsoft SQL 200x, Commvault Simpana and Microsoft SCCM.
  • Assisting senior system administrators with administration tasks on the Mint's corporate Windows server computing environment.

This role is the perfect opportunity for a proactive, motivated and enthusiastic IT professional to make a valuable contribution towards the Royal Australian Mint's business objectives. The successful applicant must have a proven IT background working within a virtualised environment. Tertiary qualifications and/or industry certification is desirable.

We are seeking a Shop Manager looking for a challenge in a modern, technologically advanced manufacturing environment.

Working under limited guidance your role will include:

  • Managing the day to day activities of the Mint Shop, supervising the counter sales team, and dealing with enquiries from the public.
  • Organising and coordinating the Mint's attendance at coins shows, both locally and internationally.
  • Managing all aspects of inventory control including stock takes and loss prevention.
